ROKBOX Launches ROKBOX Grant to help museums cut art transport emissions by 92%

London, UK – 10th July 2025

Innovative packaging R&D company ROKBOX has announced the launch of a new annual sustainable fine art packaging grant.

ROKBOX Grant, a new initiative aimed at supporting UK-based museums, arts and heritage organisations in their transition to sustainable fine art transport.

The grant will provide selected institutions with state of the art, reusable fine art crates – designed to reduce carbon emissions by 92%* and eliminate single-use packaging.

Launching on 1st August 2025, the annual ROKBOX Grant will award three cultural organisations with a ROKBOX crate up to the value of £1,200: a patented, climate-resilient shipping solution that has been proven to reduce transport-related emissions by up to 92%.

Unlike traditional wooden crates, ROKBOX crates are built for repeated use with no need for refitting, while offering superior protection against water, shock, vibration, humidity, even forklift damage.

Andrew Stramentov, ROKBOX founder and CEO of ROKBOX, commented: “Arts and heritage institutions are under immense financial pressure, against a backdrop of increasing climate instability and extreme weather. We believe it’s our responsibility to make sustainable innovation more accessible; saving institutions money whilst dramatically reducing carbon emissions for the sector as a whole.”

ROKBOX is calling on UK museums and charitable institutions to register interest in applying for the grant.

Applications open August 1, 2025 and close on Wednesday 10th September
